Well, for a number of reasons. I had just suspended my DirecTV service until next season(because the football season is over, and without NFL Sunday Ticket, DirecTV is worthless, and they know it), and I’d been getting frustrated with the lack of a second tuner on my ReplayTV. Also, after the TCM debacle*, I wanted to get a couple more channels and the on-demand programming feature that comes with getting digital cable and a box. So I did, and in the process hiked up my already-exorbitant cable bill another 20 bucks. But hey, you only live once, right? [...] [...] Why? Well, for a number of reasons. As to what to record, the obvious answers for me are the ones that aren’t out on DVD.
