Motorola SLVR released
What happens when you take Motorola’s astronomically popular RAZR and pack it into a tiny candy-bar chassis? You get the aptly named Motorola SLVR. After some delay it is now available in the US, with this exclusive deal from Cingular.
I’m tempted to upgrade, but only if Motorola has finally fixed its poor phonebook UI.

[...] So why am I so upset? Well, because I’d been talking smack about getting a SLVR for ages. In fact, when I switched to Cingular about six months ago, I just got one of the free phones they offered, thinking I’d switch when the SLVR came out. For Christmas, though, my dad got my sister a RAZR, since she’d been wanting one and he was getting a great deal on them from the employees-only site at Motorola. He offered me one, but I initially turned it down. Then I got to thinking that I didn’t know when the SLVR would be released, and it would really be a good six months to a year following its release that the initial bugs would be worked out and the phone would be worth buying, so I told him yes. My RAZR is supposed to arrive today, interestingly enough the day after my original plan for a new phone was released. (Via Citrus Boy) Filed under Internet/Technology [] [...]

[...] You might recall me mentioning that I was going to get a new Motorola RAZR last week. Well, it arrived last Thursday, and I’ve spent much of the weekend getting it set up and messing around with it. The verdict? This thing rocks. Other than the truly horrible addressbook (hat tip: Citrus Boy), the phone is very cool. Slim—so slim that you can actually have it in your pocket and forget it’s there—ergonomically designed, aesthetically appealing, this thing has it all. And did I mention the gorgeous, gorgeous screen? Some of the best money I never spent (Thanks, Dad). Filed under Raves , Internet/Technology [] [...]
